The history of the Hungarian old-timer races dates back 2002. The organizers have always intended to maintain the quality of their races and also continued to develop the conditions.
The "Oldtimer SuperCup' series were established in 2006. The responsible organizers are proud to say that by today their races are amongst the best old-timer events in Europe. Route involves passages in low traffic rural landscapes that are undiscovered for most of the participants to finally lead them to famous tourist centers. On the courtesy of Organizers quarters and accommodation are chosen with utmost care mostly in 4**** hotels. All events end up with prize-giving ceremony and gala dinner.
The technically spotless old-timers built before 1986 start off every minute and are supposed to discover a distance of 200-300 km per day according to the road-book.
The competition is supervised and evaluated by sport commissionaires. The challenges (WP) are rated in hundredth of seconds (1/100) and average speed stages must be achieved according a speed limit declared. Regular traffic rules are obligatory for all participants. Defaults may be paneled but there is no time for cruising since the phases follow briefly. A set of minimum 8 challenges are supposed to be completed each day but in some cases the hard race ends up after 15 tests. Competitors are measured between photocells, hoses and/or combination of them, with mechanical stopwatches, km-counter and/or trip master. The use of digital equipment is allowed if reported but there is a penalty factor of 2.
The teams are informed about their results by SMS within right after passing the measuring point. The SMS-system was developed by the organizers and has been proved efficient in several races. We also transmit further information through this system: e.g. deviation of traffic jams caused by an accident in front of the race field.
The Organizer teams publish information of the individual races on their own websites. Entries may be forwarded on-line. The entry fee for a 1-day event is approximately 200 Euro, a 2-day event is approximated from 400 Euro and the prices vary whether they include accommodation or not. The price will always include catering. Although the regulations and rules in the "Oldtimer SuperCup" races are unified each individual event has its own special character.
The friendly atmosphere of the "Oldtimer SuperCup' series gives you perfect opportunity to make new relationships and cultivate the old ones. Spouses, family members, friends as well as business partners find occasions to beat sport and technical challenges.
Fans of old-timers who have not taken part in our events should try them as soon as possible since the races also provide remarkable opportunity for participants to relax and recover from daily routine.
The aim and the benefit "in most" of the teams is to deepen and strengthen personal relationships as a team. It develops members' characters before, during and after the competition since both the teams and the cars must be prepared for and checked after the race.
We are glad to get inquiries from abroad and we will stay at your disposal for all questions you may be interested in. In the hope of meeting you soon:
Best regards,
